Del Mar
is best known for two square miles of coastal
land famous for its fairgrounds and race track
"where the surf meets the turf."
Fantastic ocean front properties and winding
streets supply a feel of an upscale community
with character and charm. This coastal zone
also includes the San Dieguito River estuary
and a peninsula like strip of ocean front
land. This part of Del Mar is real beach living,
reminiscent of Newport, CA, and has some great
beach access and homes right on the sand.
The village
of Del Mar has tremendous charm and a special
place in San Diego history. For fans of Carmel-by-the-Sea
on the central California coast, this is the
warmer, southern version with artistic canyons
interspersed with hillsides of homes. The
main street, Camino Del Mar, features trendy
shops and unique restaurants. Art galleries,
fantastic ocean views and winding streets
supply a feel of an upscale community with
classy character. This is where our office
is located.
Torrey
Pines is a beautiful area on the southern
end of Del Mar. Torrey Pines is adjacent to
a California State Reserve, and makes it quite
special. This area is surrounding the intersection
of Camino Del Mar at Carmel Valley Road and
the Pacific Ocean. Homes in this area often
have beautiful views of the estuary and the
Pacific Ocean.
Nestled
among the coastal foothills, Carmel Valley
is an exciting and growing area in which to
find newer homes and residential real estate.
It is a mix of single family dwellings, apartments
and condos, all of which were built after
1980. These homes are a short commute to San
Diego.
